My first morning in Tampa was a slow start. As I had an early start the morning before, I was pretty tired so I slept in a little and enjoyed a slow pace to the morning. The day before we had decided to go to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, A place that I had wanted to go to. While talking about going to the aquarium the day before, I had found out that there was a movie filmed there about one of the dolphins that they had there. The movie was Dolphin Tale, about a dolphin that they found washed up on a beach nearby and the story about her from there (Sorry no more spoilers than that). The night before we found the movie on Netflix and watched it in preparation for the visit the next morning.
We spent the morning at the aquarium learning about dolphins and all the other animals that they have onsite. We happened to have chosen to go during a special time for the aquarium. It was the birthday celebrations for both Winter and Hope, the 2 dolphins from the Dolphin Tale movies, so there was lots going on at the aquarium.
After the aquarium and lunch at a beach-side restaurant, we headed out to sunbathe and swim in the water. We spent the next couple of hours changing between swimming in the water and laying in the sun. Once I had had my fill of the white sand beach and warm water, we headed back to the house and relaxed for the rest of the afternoon before heading back out to dinner.
We had dinner at a restaurant in the main part of Dunedin. After dinner we went for a little walk around the city centre and I got to take in the sights, and take a couple photos to prove that there is actually a Dunedin in the USA.
