Sailing away to Juneau

After the craziness that was embarkation day, we settled into a day and a half of sailing. Over the first night we had some pretty smooth sailing with pretty calm waters, however as we made our way past Vancouver Island and the protection that it offered, we hit some rougher seas.
Now the seas were probably not as rough as they could have been, but to us new cruisers, they still made us feel a little unwell. So we decided to stay in our stateroom for most of the day and watch movies to try and take our mind off the movement of the ship. Every now and then we would make our way out of the room to go and see what was happening around the ship and to get some food/ginger ale.
That second night of the cruise was our first formal night. By this time we were back between an island and the mainland so we managed to get out and get dressed up for dinner in the main dining room. The food was pretty good as was the company.
The next day we were cruising through the inside passage through to Juneau, where we were due to dock a 1 pm. So after a pretty good breakfast, we wandered out to the lido deck by the covered pool to watch as land started to pass us and houses came into view. Over the course of the morning, I went to a few seminars and appointments on the ship and luckily still managed to watch as we came in Juneau through the floor to ceiling windows in the spa.
By the time that we arrived in Juneau, the sun had come out and it was looking like it was going to be a nice day.
