The start of my first solo adventure

Well, I'm off on holiday again.

This time it has been a long time coming. For me to be in the right space for a holiday is a really good thing.

I have been on holiday now for about 18 hours and it has been interesting.

It was all going good until take off from Wellington. That was a bumpy takeoff and it continued to be that over the course of the 4-hour flight. I also learnt that attempting to sleep on a plane where you have little room is kinda hard and will result in a sore neck.

When I arrived in Melbourne, we were unloaded from the plane onto the apron express (a bus that takes you from the plane to the terminal when there is no room at the air bridges). Then I managed to fail as I went through the smart gate due to the fact that I had to take my glasses off thus I couldn't see when I could move on to the next part.

The rest of the day has been relatively uneventful. Just going around the shops and catching the free city trams.
